Alejandro Berenstein, M.D.
Alejandro Berenstein, M.D., is the Director of the Institute for Neurology
and Neurosurgery (INN) and Chief of Interventional Neuroradiology at Beth
Israel Medical Center and St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. His
academic appointments include Professor of Radiology, Neurology and
Neurosurgery at the Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Berenstein is a
pioneer in the field of interventional neuroradiology and the use of
minimally invasive procedures to treat conditions related to the vascular
system in the brain, head, face, spine, and spinal cord.

Fady T. Charbel , M.D.
Dr. Charbel, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at UIC Medical, is
president and chief scientific officer of VasSol, Inc. As both scientist and
surgeon, Dr. Charbel saw a void in the pre-operative information available
to surgeons and his solution was CANVAS (Computer Aided Neurovascular
Analysis and Simulation) which laid the groundwork for NOVA. Dr. Charbel
has published, conducted seminars and lectured extensively on NOVA and
related neurovascular topics. He is the inventor of the Charbel
Micro-Flowprobe, which measures blood flow during surgery and has developed
many surgical techniques, including C-FAST (Charbel flow assisted surgical
technique).

As a Neurosurgeon at Beth Israel Medical Center,David Langer's work with aneurysms, cerebral malformations and cerebral vasospasms has put him in the forefront ofneurological medicine. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Dr. Langer is a frequent lecturer whose research appears regularly in scientific journals. Dr. Langer was part of the team at Beth Israel that for the first-time ever used NOVA to evaluate and assist in the separation of conjoined twins.
Daniel Lefton, M.D.
Dr. Lefton is an Associate Attending of Radiology at The St. Luke's
Roosevelt Hospital Center and the Director of MRI at Roosevelt Hospital.
He is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at The Albert
Einstein College of Medicine. A graduate of Boston University School of
Medicine, Dr. Lefton has spent his career in Neuroradiology evaluating
pediatric and adult neurovascular disease, spinal disease and brain and
spinal cord tumors.

Michel Elias Mawad, M.D.
Dr. Michel Mawad is the Chair of the Department of Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine since 2001.
He currently serves as a professor in the Departments of Radiology, Neurosurgery, Neurology and Ophthalmology. He serves as a consulting radiologist at Baylor's affiliated hospitals as well as at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
